The main objective is to share technological advances, sharing operational experiences and to present important ongoing pipeline projects.  It also aims to integrate companies that act in diferente segments of the pipeline industry: operation, construction, engineering, research and development, training and equipment suppliers.

The Rio Pipeline has grown in number of exhibitors and members of Congress, with outstanding international participation, and this edition of 2011 promises numbers even more significant, with  a potential growth  of the area. New technological challenges and the raising of the demand for goods and services of the pipeline industry are among the main subjects approached in the event.
