The E-Class series, available for four decades and continuously improved, for both 50 and 60 Hz, is an extremely well-proven, robust solution for simple and combined cycle processes, optionally including combined heat and power. It is suitable for all load ranges, particularly peak-load operation.
Outstanding fuel flexibility allows a wide variety of low to high-calorific gaseous fuels to be fired. Even on-line fuel change over from natural gas to fuel oil and vice versa is possible during operation.
Through its service-friendly design and tailored service concepts, maintenance outages and costs can be kept to a minimum.
The 50 Hz version of the SGT-2000E series was introduced in 1981 and its 60 Hz equivalent in 1989. With more than 350 units and additionally over 200 licensed turbines in operation worldwide to date, we have amassed more than 17 million equivalent operating hours (EOH) on the SGT5-2000E and nearly seven million EOH on the SGT6-2000E. The fleet leaders have an impressive number of > 260,000 EOH in 50 Hz market and > 185,000 EOH in 60 Hz market. At the same time, the fleet’s overall best-in-class reliability exceeds 99.5 percent.
