As in simple cycle applications the gas turbine is the main drive for power generation. To improve overall efficiency, exhaust heat from the gas turbine is used to produce steam for the generation of additional electricity by a steam turbine.
Our Siemens combined cycle (SCC®) reference power plants (RPP) provide flexibility for easy selection of options to meet specific site and customer needs. This, together with a pre-designed balance of plant, results in short project lead times. It provides an optimum balance between capital cost, plant performance, and operational and maintenance considerations. Pre-engineered modular options have been developed to further address individual needs, as well as life-cycle cost enhancements.
