We already have an electronic MOC system, but we frequently have to tweak our well-defined MOC process to fit our current software. I am afraid I will have to do the same with Siemens Change Manager as well.
PS Change Manager gives you immense flexibility to configure your well-defined MOC process. The software was designed with the forethought that each facility may have a different process in place. If needed, improvements to your current MOC process may be offered, but the software will not restrict or limit the process you already have in place. PS Change Manager allows administrators to define custom workflows, risk levels, checklists and approvers.
We want a software that is centrally implemented for all our facilities and gives us the leverage to keep track of all changes happening throughout the company. Can PS Change Manager handle this?
PS Change Manager is the solution to your corporate needs – the software can be implemented at the corporate level, and each facility within the corporation can be configured separately for use. The software gives you the flexibility to configure users and roles based on business requirements. A corporate admin with access to all sites can easily track all changes happening at each site. Additionally, PS Change Manager is a web application that does not require you to install any special tools or plug-ins to use.
Our MOC process utilizes a lot of documents. Is there a limit to the amount of documentation that can be attached?
No, PS Change Manager allows you to attach several different types of documents, ranging from P&IDs, Plot Plans, PFDs, Equipment Spec Sheets, etc. The system will allow you to attach documents from any external or local file system, and all documents are stored and centrally managed on the application server.
Does PS Change Manager have the capability to integrate with other external system?
Yes, PS Change Manager can interact with other systems like SAP, Maximo or any other third party system. Siemens implementation team can make a proper assessment of the external system and can provide a recommendation on level of effort needed to integrate with the external system.
