SIPLINK in Overview
SIPLINK is capable of connecting two or more MV AC nets with different voltages, frequencies, phase angles or neutral point connection.
SIPLINK controls the load flow between connected networks and the reactive power in all connected networks.
This allows the following applications:
- Connection of MV networks (MVDC Back to Back)
- Ship to Shore connections
- High availability for industry grids

- Secure busbar is simultaneously connected with 2 networks
- Secure busbar is an “oscillating” load. Power is obtained to a greater extent from the network which has more reserves
- Controlled exchange of energy between the two feeding networks
- No increase in short-circuit power
SIPLINK Multi Feed
- Voltage dips now subject only to the opening of the infeed switch
- Every secure busbar is simultaneously connected to all other busbars
- SIPLINK allows the load to be transferred immediately if a fault occurs in any incoming supply
