SGT5-2000E
The SGT5-2000E is an extremely well-proven, robust engine for the 50Hz market used for simple or combined cycle processes with or without combined heat and power, and for all load ranges, particularly peak-load operation. For Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) applications we offer our SGT5-2000E (LC) machine. Besides the application in power plants, the SGT5-2000E can also be used for different applications in the Oil and Gas industry. The compressor drive design, derived from proven standards, can be used e.g. for the production of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) – either as a direct mechanical compressor drive or as an all-electric generator version. The SGT5-2000E has a record for toughness and durability with more than 300 units in operation and over 6.4 million operating hours.

- Horizontally split casing
- Two walk-in combustion chambers for hot-gas-path inspection without cover lift
- Combustion chambers lined with individually replaceable ceramic tiles

SGT5-PAC 2000E, a package for 50 Hz applications, enables economical power generation in a range up to 168 MW.
Service for Gas Turbine SGT5-2000E
The SGT5-2000E is characterized by extremely good rapid startup properties, very high reliability and availability as well as lenient fuel quality requirements. Since 1981 over 198 units have been installed world-wide. Together the fleet has more than 12,000,000 EOH. This gas turbine underwent several design versions over this time.
Over the last years the worldwide demand for power has been growing continuously. SIEMENS anticipated and reacted to the needs of the market by further developing its simple and combined cycle power plant technologies for the SGT5-2000E and providing a full range of performance enhancements.
