Simple cycle power plants utilize a gas turbine and a generator to generate electricity.
The primary focus of our gas turbine Siemens simple cycle (SSC®) reference power plant (RPP) program is to develop plant designs offering significant customer benefits through low life-cycle costs. The modular concept used in the RPP program allows easy adaptation to specific customer needs and site requirements. In its base configuration the RPP includes the most frequently demanded standard configuration. This provides a valuable, predefined wrap of core, options and variants to provide high benefits for general application.
The SSC6-5000F power plant is a self-contained, electric power generating system suited for simple cycle applications. It reflects over 50 years of experience in gas turbine technology and power plant design. The SSC6-5000F comprises factory-assembled fuel, auxiliary, lubrication and electrical packages, turbine enclosures, an SPPA-T3000 power plant automation control system and an air-cooled generator. The power plant is fast-start capable and can produce 150 MW in 10 minutes.
