Customer: Buergerwindpark
Power plant type: 8 Turbines with 23.6 MW
Product: SWT-3.6-107 (previous: BONUS 3.6 MW) and SWT-2.3-82 VS (previous: BONUS 2.3 MW VS)
Scope of supply: Repowering with 4 SWT-3.6-107 and 4 SWT-2.3-82 VS wind turbines plus monitoring system, installation and commissioning
Two different turbine models have been selected for this repowering project on the country side in Northern Germany, near to the Danish border. And one of those is the latest model in the Siemens product range, the 3.6 MW turbine for onshore and offshore applications. The Braderup Wind Farm is one of the biggest repowering projects in Germany. The new eight Siemens turbines replace 15 existing ones of 750 kW each. So the installed capacity was doubled, the number of turbines was reduced by almost 50 per cent and simultaniously the yearly production has been approximately tripled
Wind Farm
Customer: ScottishPower PLC
Power plant type: Phase I: 42 turbines with 96.6MW Phase II: 12 turbines with 27.6MW
Product: SWT-2.3-82 (previous: BONUS 2.3 MW)
Scope of supply: SWT-2.3-82 wind turbines and monitoring system, installation and commissioning.
UK’s largest operational onshore wind park. The wind farm has received wide recognition for its contribution to environmental objectives. It is partly located on an abandoned vast open-cast coal mine area which has been completely restored to shallow wetlands by the developer as part of a habitat management plan. The site also comprises grazed farmland and commercial forestry.

Product: SWT-2.3-82
Scope of supply: SWT-2.3-82 wind turbines plus monitoring system, installation and commissioning
The Bornstedt Wind Farm is located in the Magdeburger Börde region in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. An inland area far away from the seashore and well known for it’s significant number of clean energy producing facilities harnessing the wind. No surprise, as this region is one of the most privileged areas in Germany with regard to the wind situation

Customer: Renewable Energy Systems Inc.
Power plant type: 214 turbines with 278.2MW.
Product: SWT-1.3-62
Scope of supply: SWT-1.3-62 wind turbines and monitoring system, installation and commissioning
Turbines sited in rows along the southeastern and northwestern edges of a mesa (a tabletop mountain) surrounded by deep ravines. Typical turbine spacing is 2.5 D and the longest row holds 56 turbines.Dust, sand and high temperatures place extraordinary demands on the wind turbines.
Consequently, the design was modified for the desert-like conditions, providing additional cooling and protection against wind-blown sand.
Wind Farm
Customer: Middelgrunden Vindmollelaug
Power plant type: 20 turbines with 40 MW.
Product: SWT-2.0-76 (previous: BONUS 2 MW)
Scope of supply: SWT-2.0-76 wind turbines and monitoring system, installation and commissioning
The turbines are placed in a large-radius arc, with a turbine spacing of 182 meters and a total arc length of 3.4 kilometers.Middelgrunden Offshore Wind Farm was the largest offshore wind farm in the world at the time of completion. The turbines were pre-assembled onshore in three parts before floated to the foundations and erected by a crane fitted to a jack-up barge.
