Siemens offers a comprehensive range of steam turbines from 45 kW to 1,900 MW, with the flexibility to address the specific requirements of your particular application. With over a century of experience and continuous development in steam turbine technology, Siemens has stayed at the forefront of development and is a prime partner for your business.
The SST-800 steam turbine is a single-casing direct drive with reverse flow design, used for tailor-made applications for the most complex processes in industry and power generation. It operates at 3,000 or 3,600 rpm for generator drives up to 150 MW and at variable speed up to 5,000 rpm for compressor drives. The turbine can be used for both condensing and back-pressure applications.
| Power output | up to 150 MW |
| Inlet steam pressure | up to 140 bar / 2,030 psi |
| Inlet steam temperature | up to 540 °C / 1,005 °F |
| Rotational speed | 3,000 to 3,600 rpm |
| Bleeds | up to 6, at various pressure levels |
| Controlled extraction (single or double) | pressure: up to 45 bar (a) / 655 psi |
| Exhaust area | 1.1 - 5.6 m² |
All data are approximate and project-related.

Although the typical arrangements are standardized, the turboset can be configured to meet any project-specific requirements. For ground-level installation the turbine is equipped with axial or upward exhaust, yielding substantial savings in foundation and building cost. Where space is restrictive, an arrangement with downward exhaust and underslung condenser can be selected.
