Remote Field Assistance can provide an industrial WLAN connection at the plant note – in US, what about NERC requirements?. A mobile satellite antenna transmits data and speech from the service technician to the energy expert. Many existing networks such as LAN, DSL etc. can also be used.
The IT infrastructure supplied as part of the package provides a secure data link between technician and expert – irrespective of distance and location.
With this system the field service technician can enjoy complete freedom of movement– even in difficult, narrow locations. A specially developed carry-pack contains the lightweight, impact-resistant, fanless high-performance PC and a high-resolution hand-held camera.
