Model on Demand® (MOD®) – The Common Data Repository in MOD® stores and manages all the network model data that planners use in the course of their work: load flow, dynamics, short circuit, contingency, outage, ratings, and voltage control data. MOD® as it is designed, ensures model consistency and accuracy across departments and across the company.
Manage alternatives chronologically using MOD® projects. The MOD® approach to model building and data management makes the changing of in-service dates and subsequent case rebuilding effort much easier by reducing the model rebuild process to managing only the incremental changes that the developer wants to make to the network, which in turns frees up the engineer to do the required studies associated with the generation interconnection request.
MOD® Change Logging provides a full audit trail of data changes, user activity, and fully documents changes that are made in a case build, helping the user and the organization comply with NERC planning guidelines and requirements.
Our Model on Demand® (MOD®) software application can help! The MOD® Common Data Repository manages all the network model data that planners use in the course of their work. The MOD® easy-to-use interface and case creation selection criteria make model building easy. Because all of the model data and updates are in one place, it helps to ensure study model consistency no matter what timeframe is being studied.
Model On Demand® makes case creation easy. With just a few clicks of a mouse, model developers select the topology updates and operational conditions they need for their study efforts. The MOD® logging feature provides the model builder and model users with a complete log of all files used and changes made in the developed study model, reducing the need to review the case prior to performing studies. As data is imported into MOD®, it undergoes a three-step review process. The planner can be assured that MOD® data need not be extensively re-reviewed before use in a study model; the total review time is therefore reduced.
