Meet our Siemens experts at the CIGRE trade show and explore some of our latest innovations and impressive exhibits. During the Cigre session and on our booth we offer you information about the following highlight topics:
Siemens high-voltage products, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, surge arresters, instrument transformer, coils, gas-insulated switchgear, and bushings, feature low life cycle costs and optimum availability in continuous operation. They are renowned for reliability, long service life, and ruggedness. Siemens high-voltage products are available on very short notice around the globe.
Siemens will present a number of existing highlights, including the new generation of metal-enclosed, SF6-insulated 3ES surge arresters as well as an externally gapped line arrester (EGLA) and a 3EL cage design surge arrester for application as a line arrester. In addition, Siemens present GIS models of our portfolio and a nonconventional instrument transformer model for 145kV GIS.
In order to keep load and generation in balance, the transmission infrastructure needs to be come more diverse. Siemens’ trendsetting HVDC and FACTS technologies already provide a large range of applications that help transmit power over long distances, control the load flow, interconnect systems of different voltages and frequencies, eliminate bottlenecks, minimize transmission losses, and make the entire power system more reliable and more sustainable.
Siemens will present a number of exciting highlights, including a 400-kV mobile substation, the proven multilevel converter technology HVDC PLUS, and the world’s first gas-insulated DC switchgear, DC CS for 320 kV.
In more than 100 countries and for more than 100 years, transformers from Siemens are a synonym for top quality – as a result of ideas, know-how, and unequaled experience. As one of the world’s leading transformer manufacturers, we provide the right transformer for every requirement – from compact distribution transformers to large power transformers with ratings over 1,000 MVA.
Siemens will present a number of exciting highlights, including a 420-kV power transformer with vegetable oil insulation.
While the energy landscape is undergoing dramatic changes, Transmission systems are required to provide stable energy supply across increasing distances. They have to cope with volatile infeed and increasingly complex energy trading schemes. Growing demand requires greater capacity or a more efficient use of existing systems. Siemens Smart Grid contributes to a secure and efficient energy transmission with a broad portfolio of hardware and software products and solutions, planning, consulting, and services.
Siemens will present a number of exciting highlights, including our grid control platform, Spectrum Power; Integrated Substation Condition Monitoring (ISCM); process bus technology; the benchmark for protection, SIPROTEC 5; our SIGUARD power system supervision; and even more.
To ensure a stable and reliable power supply, Siemens has developed SIESTORAGE, a sustainable and modular stationary energy storage and power flow management system that combines a fast-acting power regulation function and lithium-ion batteries. The modular concept can be adapted to specific demands, covering any storage power need or capacity, and provides a large range of applications for utilities, network operators, industries, cities, and infrastructure. SIESTORAGE enables them to save potential with asset optimization. Thanks to Siemens’ comprehensive range of products and systems, as well as expertise in solutions and implementation, customers profit from an all-in-one solution from planning to engineering, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.
Siemens will present a number of exciting highlights, including this modular SIESTORAGE system, demonstrating its advantages in a model.
