Pioneering and proven: H-Class Series Power Plants
H-Class series sets the new standard with record-breaking efficiency
Siemens as OEM-EPC has expanded its power plant portfolio with the pioneering H-Class series. The H-Class series combines the best features of our well-proven product lines and the latest technology advancements. Field-tested in commercial operation since July 2011 in Irsching, Germany, the SCC5-8000H singleshaft power plant with the innovative SGT5-8000H gas turbine set a world record for combined cycle plants, achieving net energy efficiency of 60.75 %. The first 60 Hz SCC6-8000H plant starts commercial operation in 2013. In 2015, the H-Class will have achieved 250,000 EOH incommercial operation.
Cutting edge integration: advanced water steam cycle
The advanced water steam cycle with 600 °C steam temperature within a triple pressure reheat design incorporating the in-house Siemens BensonTM HRSG is optimized for highest reliability and operational flexibility.
Fast start technology
The plant’s daily start-up, shutdown, and cycling capabilities, along with our fast start-up concept, which supplies up to half a GW in half an hour, support intermediate loads. The plant and engine design enables high efficiency and low emissions in part-load operation. With the Clean RampTM feature, it even sets new standards in transient emissions. With a combined cycle power output of more than 570 MW at 50 Hz and more than 410 MW at 60 Hz, the H-Class series means a sustainable success for highly efficient plants.
