Siemens Energy was awarded first place in the “Innovative Project” category at the UpGrid 2012. The award went to the Division Power Transmission for its gas-insulated transmission lines (GIL). The technology is an alternative to high-voltage overhead lines and cables. The UpGrid is a new international energy forum in Moscow.
