For facilities using the Allis-Chalmers or Siemens type QA load break switch, Siemens’ up-to-date retrofit solution, the QR Switch Module – available in both 5kV and 15kV – offers an excellent opportunity to extend the useful life of you existing load break switches, improve reliability, and end your search for replacement parts. Siemens can also develop a replacement for QB upon request.
With the Siemens QR Switch Module, you can take advantage of more modern technology and engineering upgrades. The QR Switch Module is also very cost-effective when compared to full switch replacement (typically less than half the price of a new installation).
