For PSS®E users these "user-drawn" models are available in addition to their well-proven "standard" models and "user-written" models (Fortran). Advantages of the "user-drawn" models:
Graphical Model Builder (GMB)
The Graphical Model Builder (GMB) is a powerful and easy to use dynamics model development tool based on graphic representations of control block diagrams.
The GMB stand-alone model builder can generate dynamic models for use in the following PSS® product suite software tools:
GMB uses Microsoft® Visio® graphical user interface (GUI) to easily create dynamic models. Using Visio®, the GMB becomes a drawing tool that is simple and quick for implementing, editing and documenting of dynamic models.
GMB Dynamic Model Packages
The following dynamic model packages are currently available:
Package "Free_License"
The GMB model package "Free_License" is a set of 4 excitation systems (AVRs) and 2 turbine governors (GOVs). This Package is available for free and it also contains a free runtime license for the use of BOSL models in PSS® product suite.
After licensing GMB (full license), the user can modify the data and structure of each model and thus has a very flexible, "user-drawn" controller library.
Package "Standard-1"
For the latest versions of our PSS® product suite software, we are offering package "Standard-1", a library of 36 excitation systems (AVRs) and 20 turbine governors (GOVs). This package is offered as yearly lease or perpetual lease.
Package "Wind"
For the latest versions of our PSS®SINCAL and PSS®NETOMAC software, we are offering package "Wind" including the following generic models:
Package "FACTS" (Flexible AC Transmission Systems)
For the latest versions of our PSS®SINCAL and PSS®NETOMAC software, we are offering package "FACTS" including the following models:
