Testing laboratories at the Schaltwerk Berlin
Accredited according to standard ISO/IEC 17025
High quality and worldwide recognition ensure competitive advantages: the testing laboratories at the Schaltwerk Berlin are accredited according to standard ISO/IEC 17025. This means that we satisfy an essential prerequisite to issue worldwide recognized product certificates. The accreditation entails tests conducted on high-voltage switchgear and on items of electric power engineering equipment.
Our testing laboratories are supervised by the German accreditation body (DAkkS) and are subject to regular and strict quality surveillance. As an accredited testing laboratory we are a member of the PEHLA, an association of several testing laboratories for the execution of monitored, manufacturer independent tests and carry out tests according to international standards or referred to customer requests.
We test conforming to IEC, DIN, EN, VDE, ANSI, IEEE, GOST, GB and other national and international norms or after customer specification. A full overview of the standards according to which we are accredited you will find in our accreditation scope (see downloads). Further standards on request.

We offer numerous DC tests as a standard part of our testing scope:
- dielectric tests up to 1,200 kV;
- long-term tests of insulation materials up to 500 kV;
- current tests up to 10 kA (e.g. temperature rise test).
